It is a wonderful software! i really loved it…it is easy to use as well!!
How i get it.
HOW DID YOU LEARN TO USE IT? DID YOU HAVE TRAINING?
This is like doing the Analysis twice, the blueprints already have the measurements, counting software for someone who does not how to count, waste of my time
STACK isn’t right for everyone but most contractors can save a ton of time and save money by using the software. Learn more at http://www.stackct.com
What software are you using instead of Stack?
In one sentence you’ve underline at least two huge inefficiencies in the construction industry. First is the ‘double counting’ effect. The second is firms relying on software to substitute for a lack of training their employees; more and more people using both this software and the drafting software have no idea what they are working on and it’s downright reckless. The funny this is that many of these PDF’s were created in ‘BIM’ programs, which market themselves as being able to output quantities AS the project is drafted. Not only do we not see quantity lists, the drafting quality has went to sh*t AND the drawings actually take longer to develop (on average, some firms handle BIM quite well however).
The positive here is that companies pay a lot for someone that can read construction drawings and determine the appropriate amounts of time, material and labour to build their portion of the project. Such skills are becoming more and more valuable to firms who are smart enough to demand those skills as quality training becomes harder and harder to obtain.
What I like about this: It separates the pages, meaning the user isn’t forced to do this manually, or forced to work with a large, incredibly laggy PDF file.
